INTENDED USE
Cary Blair Transport Medium is recommended for use in the transportation & preservation of clinical specimens primarily stool & rectal swab.

MATERIAL
The tube is made of polypropylene plastic with round bottom.
Red Polyethylene cap specially designed to close hermetically.

FEATURES
Cary Blair Transport Medium tube consists of a medium tube packed in a peel-off Blister pack and sterilized by radiation.
Polyethylene cap specially designed to close hermetically; non slippery surface when using gloves.
The medium contains sodium chloride for optimal preservation of inoculated sample. Sodium Thioglycollate & Agar
provide a reduced environment favorable to a variety of bacteria. Disodium phosphate work as buffering agent to
prevent overgrowth of enteric pathogens.
Calcium salts serve to maintain osmotic equilibrium by controlling the permeability of bacterial cells.
